Dalziel 20 Glasgow Hawks 12
Glasgow Hawks Under 15s today travelled to Dalziel to meet the league's third
placed team.
Dalziel took the lead with an unconverted try early in the first half. The
try was a combination of slick handling by the Dalziel backs and sloppy tackiling
by Hawks.
Hawks levelled the score when Euan Robertson intercepted a pass and sprinted
home from half way. Unfortunateky the conversion attempt from a tight angle
out on the right wing was missed.
Hawks forwards were dominant at this stage, keeping the ball tight and executing
a series of pick up and drives. They were rewarded seven minutes before half
time when Jamie Murphy picked up and charged from the back of a ruck on the
22 to score
under the posts. Kerr Gossman converted. Half time Dalziel 5 Glasgow Hawks

The second half followed the same pattern as the first with Hawks attempting
to keep the ball with forwards, whilst Dalziel attempted to move the ball
wide to their speedy backs.
Dalziel capitalised on some poor defending and indecision by the Hawks to
run in two tries, giving them a 15 - 12 lead going into the final minutes.
Hawks gave their all as they tried to snatch back the game, but in the last
move of the game Dalziel again broke down the right wing for a final unconverted
score.
Credit to both teams for an excellent game of rugby.
