GHK Tour diary

All arrived safe and well. Journey long and tiring.Plane successfully drunk dry. Border control successfully negotiated. Hooked up with Murray Wallace, ex GHK Hawks and Scotland back row, who will be playing at 10 for Boulder against us next week and our tour host Scott W Poindexter!

A full acclimatisation session was held in a local hostelry to ensure jet lag was completely forgotten about. Many tourists now much more familiar with tour songbook. Looking forward to today's training session. More later.

This morning the players had their first taste of training at altitude, with a team practice in a nearby city park, suitably hard and rutted. With the temperature rising into the 70's the players were able to sweat out last nights beers. After training a quiet afternoon was spent exploring downtown Denver, and grabbing a bite to eat in many of the local bars and restaurants.

Tonight sees the first tour court session with misdemeanours, large and small, being dealt with appropriately. Team steak dinner will then follow at a nearby restaurant.

As can be seen in the accompanying photograph, Gordi and Percy's name-sake mascots have been leading the way in inappropriate behaviour.

Everyone really looking forward to tomorrows first game against Denver Harlequins.
