On Friday 3rd of June the Hawks community team will be attempting to score 74 rugby trys in 3 days, the boys are doing this event to raise funds for the Yorkhill Children’s Foundation.

The team will be visiting all 36 premier grounds, all 36 national teams, Scotstoun Stadium and Murrayfield. This will mean that they team will travel all over Scotland covering places from Newton Stewart to Berwick to Melrose to Dundee to Caithness and will finish at Orkney on Sunday 5th of June.

At every ground the team will get out there car and score a try at the ground and take a photo of evidence as this happening.

The idea came about after the Hawks community team visited the Yorkhill children’s foundation at Christmas to hand out selection boxes and rugby goodie bags to the children, after this event the players and management decided that we should do our bit to raise some funds for a very worthwhile charity.

The Hawks community team have set a target of reaching £5,000 sponsorship for the event and have set up a just giving page for any companies or individuals that might want to sponsor the boys, the page can be found at - , all the money raised will go straight to the Yorkhill Children’s Foundation. The people taking part in the event are Hawks stand off Mike Adamson, Hawks centre Dean Kelbrick, Hawks board member Graeme Davidson and Hawks development officer Grant Talbot, the boys will take it in turns with the driving duties throughout the journey, which will start at Murrayfield on Friday 3rd of June and finish at Orkney on Sunday 5th of June.

Hawks development officer Grant Talbot commented "The boys are really looking forward to our challenge, we will be covering 28 clubs in Glasgow, 18 in Edinburgh, 15 in Caledonia and 11 in the borders, our journey will take us all over Scotland. We are busy finalising our route and can’t wait to get started and more importantly raise some funds for a very worthwhile charity that help a lot of children and families through out Scotland"
