Glasgow Warriors fans were treated to a three try teaser this evening ahead of the RaboDirect PRO12 kicking off in September. Despite the Warriors trailing at the break the new look outfit entered the second half all guns blazing, adding two tries onto the scoreboard, taking them ahead of Newcastle's one.
Winger and new signing, Tommy Seymour and young full-back Stuart Hogg were the men to touch down for the hosts, while flanker Pennycook crossed for the Falcons. 
Both sides made a wealth of changes throughout the game, giving the Warriors support an insight into what they can expect from the season ahead. These changes meant all the Warriors latest signings (with the exception of prop Mike Cusack) had a chance to show what they were made of, and each stepped up to the plate and impressed. Moreover scrum-half Henry Pyrgos and replacement stand-off Duncan Weir both put in a first class performance.
Glasgow Warriors head coach, Sean Lineen reflected: "It's great to get a win on the board first up. The guys showed a great level of fitness to hit back in the second half and closed the game out.
"I was impressed with how quickly the new boys got to grips with playing in a Glasgow jersey and it was great to see two good scores from Tommy Seymour and Stuart Hogg.
"It's a positive start and we will take confidence from it going into our next game at Sale [Friday 26 August]."

76mins: The Warriors spread the Newcastle defence thinly giving the backs a chance to run into the space. However the slippery conditions saw winger, Colin Shaw, knock-on.
