Paisley v GHK match preview
This saturday sees GHK travel to Anchor Park to face Paisley. GHK travel as big favourites with their 100% record still in tact after last week\'s dominant win against Oban, however, last season\'s shock defeat in this fixture ultimately cost the visitors the championship. The loss still lives in the memory of a number of the squad and every team member will be focussed not to repeat such a miserable Sunday afternoon performance.
Paisley come into the game on a high with a bit of form. Having lost their opening 4 fixtures, they were then narrowly pipped at Cumbernauld, going on to win their next 2 games against Clydebank and Hillhead. On the back of this and their 15-11 victory in this fixture last season, Paisley will go into the game with some amount of confidence against their high flying visitors.
GHK enter the game top of the league, 7 wins out of 7, having scored over 200 points in their last 4 games. On paper it looks like a one sided game is expected. This is never the case against a tough Paisley team, and 2 very tight encounters last season (including that Paisley win) will probably ensure another close game.
Squad News
Rory Love starts the game this week in Chuck McElroy\'s place on the wing. Danny Hoffman also makes a return to GHK colours to replace Dave Fearnley at centre. In the pack Ryan Welsh moves off the bench to start at prop and Neil Scott gets his debut in the back row. John Laharr also gains his debut on the bench.
