SEPTEMBER NEWS LETTER

 
In the absence of Chairman Gavin Smith on holiday, I am pleased to send out this resumee, and invitation to Saturday’s lunch. Please contact me, as under, if you have any comments, or if you wish to attend the lunch.

We are all heartened to see Accies good start to the season, and await with anticipation the match this Saturday, vs  …GHK…. Kick-off…. 3.00pm.
PRE-MATCH LUNCH….    There is a lunch arranged for this Saturday, 17th.September at New Anniesland at 1.00pm.   There are still spaces available, so please contact me if you are able to attend. Cost..£15.
GUESTS  ….  To date, we are welcoming GHK President, Ewan Cameron,  John Davidson and Jim Greenwood (friends from the SRU), also main sponsors Brian Gibson and his daughter Pippa, and we also welcome David McGregor from League Sponsors,  the RBS., as well as match referee, Ken Robertson.

                    Ewan Cameron is bringing a goodly number from ‘over the fence’, so please get in touch promptly to ensure the balance of power !!
PARKING…..   I suggest you might use the ‘High School’ ground for parking, and enter via the gate from Old Anniesland, as Hawks are ‘away’ on Saturday.
PLAYER SPONSORS…..  Many supporters have already made some very generous donations to the Club.
There is still time to contribute if you haven’t already done so. I assure you that all financial support is very much appreciated,  …  and necessary !!  Please send any cheques to myself , made out to ‘ Glasgow Accies Sports Club’.  The committee is ensuring that the players will be involved in fund-faising too, and there is a project afoot to create a new Medical room from one of the redundant changing areas.
I hope you will feel inclined to contribute to our funds. 
RAFFLE PRIZES…..  It would be greatly appreciated if you could donate prizes for ‘home’ match days, when we depend so much on income created from the raffles. Donald Reid will be happy to accept any such donations from you, on match days.  In has absence, please leave bottles, or other prizes behind the bar.
RACE NIGHT…..   Our players have arranged a race night in the evening, after the game. It is hoped that ex-players and friends will stay on to support this Club fundraiser
