GLASGOW ACCIES NEWSLETTER
30TH September 2011
Dear Supporter,
Last Saturday we set off to play Annan with a few notable absentees, including our captain and vice, but all credit must go to the squad who stepped up to the plate and pulled off a very important victory (10-3) to keep our aspirations on track. The response to the coaching staff and positive attitude played a large part of the win. The seconds also won against a stuffy Hillhead last week despite losing players to the first and this overall teamwork is producing results The seconds play Whitecraigs away tomorrow . We are delighted to welcome and register at least 6 new players over the last couple of weeks with return of the university semester.
This week we play host to Irvine, (second top after GHK) and there is an opportunity to make a big impact at the top. As they say in football jargon, “the boys dun good last week but this week’s another day”.
1st XV MATCH V IRVINE (HOME) ... TOMORROW . 1ST OCT – 3PM
The team for tomorrow shows a few changes to the team once again and the coaching staff are confident that we have a well drilled and fit side to face Irvine. It will be a bruising encounter and the boys will appreciate all the support available to spur them on. Two Walker boys are in the side this week and Connor Diffin is fit as is Stephen “Chippy” O’Donnell. Steven Fyfe moves into full back and Andy Jackson is back to lead the pack.
We look forward to seeing as many supporters out tomorrow after we beat England by more than 7 points in the morning!!
