Dear Supporter,
 
After last week’s cup result against Glens we made amends for the previous week’s disappointment against the same team on league duty.  The prize is another tilt at GHK on Dec 10th at Old Anniesland in the semi final of Regional Shield Trophy.
 
This week we are travelling away to Castle Douglas and Stewartry Rugby Club. For the second week running we have a relatively stable team. The backs see the return of Jamie Doig at inside centre and Stu Smith moving over to No.13 with Stewart Seaton moving out to the wing. The pack remains fairly stable with Adam Taylor starting at second row, Chris McAlpine at prop and Chris Wright in at flanker with Andy Jackson sitting this one out after receiving some physical punishment from the Glen’s game.
 
Last week the seconds were also playing Allan Glens and ended up comfortable winners (24 - 0). They are now placed 3rd in the league and have the pleasure of visiting Old Anniesland (GHK are 4th) for another derby match. Fireworks on the 5th of November?  (KO 2pm)
 
A week on Saturday (12th Nov) the 1st XV play Newton Stewart at home and the Committee are sounding out the possibility of a pre match lunch with no theme but just an opportunity to gather before the game and have a bit of fun.  If you are interested please contact me or a Committee member to confirm.  In the evening the players are organising a quiz night and again please contact Stu Smith or his “social committee” to arrange a ticket.
 
For the last time I mention Stuart Hardie who completed his 40 marathons in 40 days and Stuart is very appreciative of the support that all Accie members and friends have made to make his soft tissue problems and aches and pains all the worthwhile. www.jogtole.co.uk
