GLASGOW ACCIES NEWSLETTER
7th January 2012
Dear Supporter,
A good New Year and all the best for 2012.
Here we are once again gearing up for our Shield semi final game with GHK after the frozen pitch cancellation on 10th Dec.
Over the holiday period while we over indulged our squad signed up for three weeks of Cross Fit sessions and I turned up to their last session last night to witness a significant improvement in the whole squad fitness over this period not to mention greater teamwork and enthusiasm. Well done to all who participated, trust me the pain will be worth it!
Unfortunately the 1st pitch at Old Anniesland is not playable due to storm damaged posts so we have agreed to play the game at New Anniesland (weather permitting) at 1.30 pm, in case of extra time. The bar and catering will still be at New Anniesland and we hope you will all be able to make the trip through the fence before and after the game.
This week there are still various absentees however we are able to field a very competent team to challenge GHK.
Harry Walker joins us at centre before school duties start, Cameron McCall is in at full back, with Stu Smith and “Chippy” O’Donnell at half backs. In the pack we have Dave Calder hooking with veteran Sandy Fitzpatrick at lock to add some army discipline, and young newcomer Kris Boyle at flanker partnered by Chris Wright.
