GLASGOW ACCIES NEWSLETTER
21st January 2012
Dear Supporter,
Despite playing well last weekend we squandered chances and let the heavy Irvine team take advantage of us. This week we play host to East Kilbride tomorrow with a 2pm KO.
We now sit 4th in the league with 4 competitive games left in the season so there is every incentive to play well tomorrow as East Kilbride are 4 points behind us. So all the 4’s! The away fixture back in October was a bruising encounter and it was played in shocking conditions but we managed to convert a penalty late on to win the points.
The team this week sees a fairly similar team from last week with Andy Brown in at wing, and Stephen Fyfe at Full Back. The pack is also strong with the same front row as last week, the Walker brothers and Kenneth Beattie starting at flanker.
There will be soup and sandwiches available from the hatch tomorrow instead of the programmed sit down lunch. We will be delighted if you could join us from 1pm onwards. Due to the bar refurbishment during February we will be arranging a lunch upstairs for the home game against Allan Glens on 18th Feb. So please mark this in your diary and come and join us. After the works are complete we are trying to arrange a friendly match to celebrate the completion which will be largely sponsored by the Gordon MacKay Trust and this will be before the end of the season. More news to follow.
The forecast for today is wet but it is looking better for tomorrow.
