Neil Patrick Herron represented Scotland at under-17 level in 2011, under-18 in 2012 and has also played for Glasgow at under-16 and under-17. He received a Scotland 7s aligned Elite Development Contract in May 2012.
He was a member of Scottish Rugby's Regional Academy and is supported by the West of Scotland Institute of Sport. He was a member of the sevens team that represented Scotland inO the 2011 Youth Commonwealth Games in the Isle of Man.
