Boroughmuir Rugby Club invites you to a fun evening at the sports facilities at Meggetland. Competing for the Pug Webster Trophy are: Boroughmuir, Bruce Hay's Chiefs, Lasswade, Heriot's, Edinburgh University, Lismore, Gumboots, Lothian & Borders Police, Forrester, Glasgow Hawks, Murrayfield Wanderers and Preston Lodge.
To complete the carnival atmosphere the also will be:
Bar open till 1 a.m.

Live Entertainment
Everything for a Great Night Out

Tonight Hawks beat Murrayfield Wanderers -Preston Lodge - Edinburgh Uni on way to  final
In final lost to Boroughmuir 10-47 having lost three players to injury

ED MILLS and Dale Gordon helped themselves to try doubles in the final as Boroughmuir retained their own sevens tournament for the third time in a row at Meggetland.
The home side defeated a Glasgow Hawks side featuring Scotland Sevens caps Rory McKay and Peter Jericevich 52-10 to lift the Pug Webster Trophy.

Earlier in the evening the hosts had beaten the Bruce Hay Chiefs and Trinity Accies to win Pool A, with Edinburgh University, Hawks and Gumboots the other pool victors.

In the first semi-final 'Muir saw off Gumboots 43-0 and, in the second, Hawks defeated Edinburgh University 47-14.

In the Ronnie Tait Plate, the Bruce Hay Chiefs and Murrayfield Wanderers reached the final with last-four wins over Watsonians and Lismore respectively.

The Chiefs, led by experienced Boroughmuir player Alan Sievewright, beat the young Wanderers side 27-21.
